Oncology Nurse Permanent Placement

Details: Prominent Los Angeles facility seeking an exceptional Oncology Nurse to join their dedicated team. This is an Institute for Transformative Medicine that combines interdisciplinary research with the prevention and treatment of cancer. Institute's research focuses on the application of proteomics (the study of the body's proteins) and genomics, mathematical modeling, integrating clinical trials, pre-clinical studies and molecularly targeted therapy, which focuses on molecular and cellular changes specific to cancer. The Institute uses all of these techniques to determine which cancer therapies are likely to work best for individual patients, allowing physicians to customize treatment for each patient's cancer. In this position you will be responsible for delivering nursing care to patients in and ambulatory setting. You will provide skilled nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, intravenous infusions, and investigational drugs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: screening tests, health/patient education, immunization administration, patient assessment, administration of chemotherapy, venipuncture, vascular access device management, skill with infusion pumps, patient education, and research.
