Practice Information

The Practice is a patient-focused cancer and blood disease treatment center located in Eastern, Iowa.  The Center has been recognized by the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) Certification Program, an affiliate of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Practice Information

    • One Office location;
    • Round at two hospitals, within 2-3 miles;
    • Chemo drugs mixed onsite;
    • Lab work done onsite;
    • Participate in Clinical Trials.  
    • Actively uses Press Ganey for satisfaction surveys
    • Once a week half day outreach clinic at Hospital


Retreat Center

The Retreat is a natural extension of their integrative approach to healing. Patients and their caregivers can visit on a weekly basis for relaxation activities, including meditation and chair yoga.  With views of the River and the State Park, patients can come "escape" and explore the beauty of nature in at stone cottage tucked into the woods just miles from the clinic.


Office hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.  Call coverage will be 1:4.  Every 4th weekend. It is rare for after-hours consultation and/or admission.  On call practitioner will cover all of the practice patients.  * The Nurse Practitioner shares the call rotation.

Job Requirements

    • MD trained and Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology;
    • Committed to quality/compassionate patient care;
    • Must be willing to play an active and visible role in the community;
    • Help promote and build the practice through relationship building events; and
    • Eligible for Iowa Medical License.

Progressive, fast-paced community practice with one location is seeking a Board Eligible/Certified Hematology Oncology Physician.  Practice currently has five physicians and five advanced practice providers.  Centrally located between two major cities; Washington DC and Richmond, VA.    

Your Practice

    • Office hours are Monday- Friday 8am-6pm
    • ½ day off per week
    • Hospitalist available at each hospital covered;
    • Call is 1: 6 weeks; 1:6 weekends, rotating holidays;
    • Chemo drugs are mixed in the office based pharmacy in the Chemotherapy Infusion Suite.
    • Large desire for the physicians to lead growth of practice/ expansions into new markets
