Key Responsibilities:

You will develop and execute medical strategies and provide scientific and medical input into the development of clinical programs. You will lead the planning and execution of scientific deliverables outlined in the company's Regional North American Medical Plan. You will support cross-functional and global collaborations to integrate broad medical, scientific and commercial input into the development program. You will provide medical/scientific support for regional brand strategic objectives. You will develop and manage key external and regional relationships according to the Key Opinion Leader Plan. You will make scientific presentations at advisory boards, key scientific meetings and external committee meetings as delegated. Participation in conducting safety assessments and participates in interactions with regulatory agencies. You will author clinical study reports, publications and regulatory submissions. You will design, prepare and initi ate study protocols and other required documentation in compliance with project plans, federal regulations, GCP, and good medical practices. You will analyze and interpret clinical study data and prepare reports for FDA and publications. You will serve as the primary medical monitor on assigned projects.

 

Basic Qualifications:

MD Oncologist with completed fellowship with clinical research and/or basic science experience combined with clinical teaching and patient care activities involving Oncology therapeutics; Board Eligible or Certified in Medical Oncology. Investigative and clinical trails experience a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

-Oncologist MD plus accredited residency in Medical or Hematologic Oncology sub-specialty; board certified or eligible. OR

- Fellowship trained with clinical research experience in Oncology combined with clinical teaching & patient care.

- Familiar with investigators or institutions in Oncology.

- Ability in leading, managing and motivating a staff.

- Clinical research experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.

 

Medical/Scientific Knowledge:

In depth understanding of the scientific method and clinical applications based on medical, scientific and practical rationale. You need to be familiar with basic concepts of clinical research and clinical trial design, including biostatistics. You should have knowledge of GCP, FDA and EMEA/CHP regulations and guidelines and applicable international regulatory requirements.

Show demonstrated ability to serve as a medical expert in a complex matrix environment. You should have a history of solving problems while exhibiting superior judgment and a balanced realistic understanding of issues. Ability to work well as part of a team is essential, as are excellent skills in both writing clinical documentation and presenting clinical information.
