Single point of contact – We are organized by specialties so a single individual can handle your locum tenens contract and coverage needs.
Common Reasons for Using a Locum Tenens – The most common reasons are to cover during medical conferences, vacations, family emergencies and illness. If your practice is expanding, you may want to consider utilizing a locum tenens physician to cover part-time until your practice can hire another full-time physician.
Clinical Practice Description – We will ask you the questions necessary to build a clear picture of the opening and the type of provider you need for your coverage.
Find Coverage with Our Expertise – The more advanced notice you can give us, the better. Of course, we will work diligently to locate candidates for an urgent need as well. As we identify providers with the skills, experience, and availability for your coverage needs, we will present their CVs for your review. You are under no obligation to accept a provider until you identify an appropriate candidate for your requested coverage.
Logistics – Arranging for locum tenens coverage doesn't end with identifying a provider. Most assignments will also require the processing of hospital privileges, as well as travel, housing, and transportation arrangements. Upon a provider's acceptance, our staff works closely with the client hospital through every step of the privileging process. Our full-service, in-house travel coordinator works directly with the provider to plan cost-effective travel with every detail confirmed in writing before the start of each assignment.
Licensing – As part of our comprehensive services, Cancer CarePoint will process new licenses for providers as needed. Usually, providers are licensed to fill specific client needs; however, Cancer CarePoint will often license providers to provide ongoing or recurring coverage, thus offering our clients a consistent, personalized recruiting solution. Our staff coordinates the entire process ensuring that providers are ready to go when needed.
Medical Malpractice Insurance – Cancer CarePoint is pleased to offer our providers the highest quality of occurrence insurance with industry standard limits of $1 Million/$3 Million. Medical Protective, one of the oldest professional liability carriers in the U.S. underwrites Cancer CarePoint's policy. Year after year, Medical Protective receives an AA+ rating through Standard and Poor, and an A++ rating through A.M. Best.
Payment – Our providers submit their timesheets to us every two weeks for payment.
Check-in calls – Once an assignment begins, we will check in with both you and the provider to make sure everything is going well.
Post-Assignment Evaluations – We conduct post-assignment evaluations with both you and the provider.
