This hospital based center ensures patients have convenient access to the most current treatment options in the area. In addition to its employed physicians, the active medical staff includes over 600 physicians in primary care and many specialties such as General Surgery, Cardiovascular services, Neurosurgery, Hematology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology and Infectious Disease.

Their breast health program currently averages 1.4 days for radiology-directed biopsies and 1.8 days for surgical biopsies. The breast health program serves as a national benchmark and has been duplicated at hospitals in eight states. They offer full-field digital mammography equipment at all sites within our health district.

Compensation and Benefits:

Employment model offering competitive salary based on RVU’s with bonus structure. The full complement of benefits include: malpractice, health, life, disability and dental insurance; vacation; CME time; retirement plan; paid professional expenses; and relocation assistance.

The Community:

Home to nine colleges and universities, this elegant, historic city reigns as the state’s cultural and geographic center. With three beautiful, meandering rivers flowing through town and a lifestyle that matches the slow pace of these rivers, this community is a quintessentially Southern city.

The University’s influence has created an active downtown scene, complete with bookstores, art theaters, cafes and pubs. With mild winters and long summers, you can choose from a wide range of recreational options. An immense reservoir oasis ringed by marinas, campgrounds and outdoor recreation sites thrills enthusiasts with fishing, sailing and water skiing.

Halfway between the foothills of the mountains to the north and immense stretches of sandy beaches to the south; you have easy access to both delights.

This is an active community with a thriving and varied cultural scene. With art museums, resident ballet and symphonies, a zoo and botanical garden, there’s something for everyone.

Climate:

The weather, although mild, is varied enough to remain interesting. A brisk fall day can be followed by balmy January weeks where you can enjoy playing golf in the middle of official winter. Serious snowfall is a rarity, allowing the beach to remain a viable year-round option. The long growing season makes for lush gardens. It’s no secret this area is subtropical and therefore humid, but mid-summer mornings and evenings is still cool enough for an outdoor run or quiet sweet tea on the porch.
