Exceptional private practice opportunity for a BE/BC Radiation Oncologist in the Great Lakes Region.

The Cancer Center is a new 17,000 square foot facility serving patients in two states. The center provides state-of-the-art services including: IMRT, IGRT w/BAT, Brachytherapy, PET/CT, 3D CRT, LDR, and Respiratory Gaiting. This rapidly growing practice offers comprehensive Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Hematology care.

Leading-edge equipment includes a Varian 21IX Linear Accelerator, Phillips Large Bore CT Simulator, Electronic Portal Imagining, and Eclipse Treatment Planning Computer.

The dedicated staff includes two RTT's, a Certified Dosimetrist, Ph.D. Physicist, a LPN, and administrator. The Medical Oncology staff consists of two Board Certified Oncologists, one Certified Nurse Practitioner, two licensed Practical Nurses, and several Registered Nurses.

Currently the practice treats an average of 20+ patients per day, five consults per week, 10 follow-ups per week, and had 200 new RT patients last year.

Our client, a Regional Cancer Program is seeking a second BE/BC radiation Oncologist to join an outstanding comprehensive cancer center. The ideal candidate must have working experience with the latest technology and be patient oriented. The radiation Oncology Department offers IMRT, IGRT, 3D Conformal Therapy, LDR and HDR Brachytherapy with future plans to include Radiosurgery. Accredited by the American College of Surgeons as an approved Cancer Center with 30 years of participation in NCI sponsored clinical trials. Regional referral and teaching center affiliated with major university.

Equipment: Varian Trilogy Accelerator, Phillips Big Bore 16 Slice CT Simulator, GammaMed Multi-channel HDR After Loader, Eclipse Treatment Planning Computer, and ARIA Electronic Record System.

Practice Details: Hospital based multi-specialty cancer center. The radiation Oncology Department is expanding services and actively treats an average of 25 patients per day; 7 new consults per week; 40 follow-ups per week; and 300 new patients last year. Staff includes: 5 RTT’s, 1 Dosimetrist, full-time Physics support; 2 RN’s, office manager; and administrator.

Financial Package and Benefits: income guarantee with incentives bonus based on RVU’s; malpractice; health and dental; 4 weeks vacation; 2 weeks CME with stipend; retirement plan; relocation assistance; and professional expenses allowance.
