DIRECTOR, CLINICAL PHARMACY PROGRAMS
Our client in Tennessee is seeking a Director to oversee the provision and continued development of clinical pharmacy services. This Director will lead an established team of Clinical Pharmacists, Clinical Pharmacy Specialists, and Clinical Staff Pharmacists to ensure that optimal pharmaceutical care is provided to patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. This individual will collaborate with other pharmacy leaders in planning and developing services and resource management. The Director will also provide leadership to pharmacy resident and student training programs. In addition to participating in direct clinical care, the Director may also participate in clinical research activities. This position carries an affiliate appointment with a University college of pharmacy.
This position requires licensure by the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy and at least five years of clinical pharmacy experience within an oncology or pediatric environment. Experience must include three years in a supervisory role and completion of a pharmacy residency or fellowship; focus in oncology or pediatric practice is preferred. Board certification in Oncology (BCOP), Pharmacotherapy (BCPS), or Nutrition Support (BCNSP) is also required.
