Our client, a leading regional, hospital-based, cancer program in New Mexico, seeks to recruit a third (3rd) Gynecologic Oncologist to join their dynamic, comprehensive team. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and collaborative clinician who is focused on compassionate patient care and clinical excellence.
- Join two board certified Gynecologic Oncologists.
- Extensive referral base through system’s integrated network.
- This thriving community program treats over 2,200 new patients each year.
- New facility opened in 2015 with comprehensive outpatient and inpatient services.
- Rotation directors for the university OBGYN residents.
- Dedicated, comprehensive team of surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology certified nurses, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, physicists, nurse navigators, sociate workers, psychologist, dietitians, and research team.
Practice Details:
- Hospital-based practice.
- Averaging: 5 new consults per week, 20 follow-ups per week, 5 minimally invasive surgeries per week.
- Latest technology including DaVinci.
- EPIC Beacon EMR.
- Phase 2, 3 clinical trials opportunities.
- Chemo drugs mixed onsite; Administered by Infusion RN.
- Lab work and x-rays done onsite or community;
- Blood Bank located within one (1) mile;
Clinical Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 NP, 1 PA, 2 MAs, 2 Schedulers, and a Director.
Hours:
Office hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday.
Call coverage 1:3. APPs will also take call with physicians as back-up.
Evening call: On call for ED and existing patients. Triage RN on call takes first call.
Weekend call: Same, rounding on current inpatients.
Financial and Benefits Package:
Employed position with a starting salary of at least $405K commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package includes: malpractice insurance, 403 (b) retirement plan with matching and employer contribution, relocation assistance, paid professional fees, and more.
Payor Mix:
Medicare 20%, Medicaid 5%, Manage Care 40%, Capitated 38%, and Self Pay 2%.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certified in Gynecologic Oncology preferred;
- Will consider Board Eligible, but must obtain Certification within one year of signing contract;
- Trained in the latest technologies, including Da Vinci Robotics;
- Commit to quality/compassionate patient care;
- Must be willing to play an active and visible role in the community;
- Help promote and build the practice through various community and relationship-building events.
