Our client seeks to recruit multiple fellowship-trained Breast Surgeons for the roles as Medical Director and Staff Breast Surgeons to join their multidisciplinary team at their new, state-of-the-art cancer facility and play an essential leadership in their vision to provide leading-edge patient care.
The hired Breast Surgeons’ practice would be 100% breast surgery supported by a dedicated breast cancer team in a multidisciplinary clinic at our tertiary cancer institute. The breast cancer program is supported by a strong multidisciplinary team that includes breast surgeons, specialized breast medical oncologist, breast imaging radiologist, plastic surgeons, a breast high risk clinic, breast navigation program, palliative oncology program, and more.
The cancer institute serves as a tertiary care referral center. The clinical model involves working in multi-specialty tumor site teams out of our Breast oncology clinic, and predominantly outpatient practice with limited breast surgery only call at a single tertiary hospital. No General surgery call or general surgery requirements. An excellent blend of compensation, sub-specialization work, and lifestyle. All breast cancer patients are reviewed at the multidisciplinary Tumor Board and supported by a robust navigation and supportive care infrastructure.
The cancer Institute is a COC accredited comprehensive community cancer center with multiple subspecialty accreditations. Our Breast cancer division is NAPBC accredited. Connections to industry for trials and opportunities for cooperative and investigator-initiated research are available and encouraged if there is an interest. We have had approximately 8% of patients on trial. Opportunities for research, teaching with the GME surgery residency program. Opportunities for leadership & career growth.

Qualifications:
- Board Certified in General Surgery.
- Breast Fellowship-trained required.
- Minimum of 3-6 years of clinical breast oncology practice experience.
- Interest or experience in leadership role of a comprehensive breast program.
- Experience or interest in quality and performance improvement initiatives.
- Experience in resident education.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Indiana.
- Must have the drive and commitment to market practice in a highly competitive environment
- Willingness to play an active and visible role in the community.
- The ability to develop effective and respectful relationships with colleagues, staff, patients and other people from diverse backgrounds and cultures is essential.
