About the Radiation Therapist Role
As a Radiation Therapist, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care as part of a collaborative radiation oncology team. Core responsibilities include:
- Administering prescribed radiation treatments and documenting doses
- Performing CT simulations, localization, and verification imaging
- Ensuring accurate patient positioning and use of immobilization devices
- Operating treatment machines, simulators, and electronic verification systems
- Supporting patients and families through education and communication
- Participating in department quality initiatives and maintaining regulatory readiness
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
- Eligible for ARRT Radiation Therapist License
- Eligible for Nevada Radiation Control Program License
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- Strong communication and patient-support skills
