DESCRIPTION

Our Georgia-based client seeks to hire a Director, Oncology Quality and Support Services to enhance their leadership team.

Qualifications:

      • Master’s Degree in a related field (Nursing; Healthcare Administration; MBA)
      • Five or more (5+) years of Leadership/Director experience in Oncology. (Progressive advancement in an administrative role within an oncology service line.)
      • Previous related experience in dealing with complex management, financial, quality and operational issues in a multidisciplinary clinical environment, such as oncology, preferred.
      • Five or more (5+) years of progressively more responsible administrative work experience in order to have a thorough understanding of hospital and oncology services function, hospital standards and procedures, applicable state and federal and auditing agency regulations.
      • A high level of interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with a wide variety of hospital personnel, outside agency officials in handling highly sensitive issues, gathering and exchanging information, and promoting and maintaining good public relations.
      • Good written and oral communication skills.
      • Considerable knowledge of the principles of organization, financial administration, marketing, planning,  and personnel administration. Ability to effectively supervise, direct and motivate a moderately large staff of professional and technical employees. Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities to subordinates. Ability to analyze a variety of administrative problems; determine solutions and effectively implement solutions.

The Director of Oncology Quality and Support Services has the primary responsibility for assigned functions within the Cancer Institute.  The Director of Oncology Quality and Support Services facilitates assessment, planning, implementation, and development of a coordinated, interdisciplinary Quality Program.  This individual acts as the central point of contact for all Oncology quality, process improvement, and cancer program accreditation related initiatives.  Promotes physician and staff engagement in the quality and regulatory readiness initiatives.  Serves as link between major hospital committees and quality services/initiatives.  In addition, the Director is responsible for system-wide Oncology Support Services and facilitates planning, development, implementation and evaluation of assigned areas.

The Director of Oncology Quality and Support Services will report to the Director, Oncology Services.
